The Intelligentsia Team

The team at Intelligentsia is a tight-knit core, providing tutor and client support while nurturing a growing tapestry of inspiring students. We work daily to ensure sessions are running smoothly, our staff and community stay in touch and in the know, and that we are always improving and expanding our support offerings. While schools may take breaks, education is a year-round effort.

Eugene Netupsky

CEO

Eugene Netupsky began tutoring at Intelligentsia in 2015 and currently oversees business development, tutor training, and client relations. Eugene graduated from Lafayette College with honors in English literature and a minor in philosophy on a full-tuition grant. He attended Georgetown University's MA in English literature program on a full scholarship with stipend as a graduate teaching assistant, where he taught a first-year writing seminar. He completed his pre-medical science coursework at Northwestern University.

While Eugene has tutored many 'A' students, he relishes the opportunity to tutor 'B' and 'C' students to help them discover that learning can be fun and to help them maximize their learning potential. He believes that tutoring is a natural extension of the classroom learning experience and that there is no substitute for individualized attention, especially as the level of academic rigor intensifies across middle and high school curriculums. Eugene has tutored over one hundred New York City students - mainly from private, independent schools - over the past five years. In his spare time, Eugene enjoys weight lifting, NBA basketball, and the latest TV shows on Hulu and Netflix.
